Q1 - Who are Tabor and Hermon referred to in Psalm 89:11-12?
Answer: An outstanding mountain in the territory of Issachar on its northern boundary. (Jos 19:17, 22) In Arabic it is called Jebel et-Tur; in Hebrew, Har Tavor. It is situated about 20 km (12 mi) W of the southern end of the Sea of Galilee and about 8 km (5 mi) ESE of the city of Nazareth.

Isolated from other mountains, Tabor rises abruptly from the Valley of Jezreel to an altitude of about 562 m (1,844 ft) above sea level. From the WNW it looks like a truncated cone, and from the SW like the segment of a sphere. From its summit, a rather flat elliptic area about 0.4 km (0.25 mi) wide from N to S and twice as long from E to W, it affords a magnificent view in all directions. The impressive prominence of this mountain probably explains why the psalmist mentions Tabor and Mount Hermon together as outstanding examples of the Creator’s majestic craftsmanship. (Ps 89:12) God also used the striking massiveness of Tabor—standing alone in the Valley of Jezreel—to illustrate the impressiveness of Nebuchadnezzar upon his entering Egypt with a mighty military force.—Jer 46:13, 18.

Q2 - In Acts 14:13 - 15, when the priest of Jupiter would have done sacrifice with the people, who would he have made the sacrifice for? Who is the priest of Jupiter?
Answer: In your next question you say: Quote: Q2 - In Acts 14:13 - 15, when the priest of Jupiter would have done sacrifice with the people, who would he have made the sacrifice for? Who is the priest of Jupiter?

Some comments I saw when looking for answers was that the priest of Jupiter was going to sacrifice to Jupiter, or Zeus. Definitely not to God. That's why the apostles were upset. They were trying to enlighten the people that there was no need to make sacrifices at all anymore, and definitely not to false gods. Their comment in using creation was to establish that there is only one true God, the one who created all things.

It's interesting how, as several of you have made comments, that the Bible itself proves the Bible itself. How verses from the old testament and the new testament clarify each other and bring everything back to center.

I am enjoying having to search for these answers. Thanks for including them in our study.

Blessings,
Sharon†
